OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Wildcats continued to hold its position at No. 1 for the week of April 7-13 after two wins against No. 5 California. Tallying all 18 first place votes, Arizona post a 39-4 overall record and improved to 8-1 in Pac-10 play. Leading the conference, the Cats will travel to Tucson, Ariz., April 18-19 to battle intra-state rival, No. 12 Arizona State.

The top 25 teams remained the same this week with little movement among the rankings. Texas moved back into the top five at No. 4 after posting a 3-0 record in conference play, while Oklahoma dropped to No. 5 after being swept by the Longhorns. Arizona State jumped one to No. 11 and Florida fell from No. 21 to 23.

The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll is voted on by NCAA Division I coaches representing 15 different ASA regions and 12 different collegiate conferences. The poll is also voted on by selected softball media members. Records are as of April 13th. First-place votes are in parentheses.
