Though the baseball aisles were nearly picked clean in the past two weeks, Page 2's Meat Market is still open for business.

After publishing your proposals to help your favorite major-league baseball teams down the stretch, we're now taking ads for all sports. And you don't have to be looking to trade players. We'll consider your ads trying to move owners, stadiums, mascots, peanut vendors or whatever, as long as it as to do with sports.

Here's how it works:

  • Page 2 will occasionally open its mailbag and take "classified ads" from fans who have something to offer in trade.

  • Then, we'll run those ads on our Meat Market page, allowing other fans to peruse the listings.

  • We'll also pull out "featured ads" and take e-mail offers from fans looking to deal for the featured items. Finally, we'll put all those offers together and run a poll asking our users to pick the best offer.
