Hole 10, a par-4, 341-yarder, proved to be the fourth tie of the evening and left Woods two holes ahead. Duval has little room now for error with less than half the competition left.
With Woods in command overall and landing in the fairway off his first shot of Hole 10, Duval hit the rough on the left side on his first shot. Duval rebounded by landing his second shot nicely on the green from 89 yards out. Woods, about 79 yards away from the pin, shot long, hit a hill, and rolled about 10 feet away from the cup. Tiger's 10-footer then rimmed out to the left, as he was approaching the hole to pick up his supposed birdie, and was conceded the par putt. Duval's agressive putt rolled past the hole, losing an opportunity to make up a hole. He drilled his own shot for par.
