DES MOINES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Scott Livingstone had three hits
and drove in three runs, including the go-ahead tally in the
eighth inning, as the Oklahoma Redhawks edged the Iowa Cubs,
5-4. Five batters after Ruben Sierra tied the score at 4-4 with
a solo homer to lead off the eighth, Livingstone, who ripped a
two-run double in the second, singled home Pedro Valdes. Valdes
had three doubles, including an RBI two-bagger in the third
inning, for Oklahoma, which has won five of its last seven
games. Johan Lopez (2-0) yielded just one hit and a walk,
striking out one, over two innings to pick up the win. Matt
Miller fanned three over the final two innings to notch his
second save. Julio Zuleta hit a pair of homers, including a
two-run shot in the fifth inning to supply Iowa with 4-3 lead.
Bobby Ayala (1-2) surrendered two runs and three hits in an
inning's work to take the loss, the Cubs' 10th in 15 home games.
