EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Larry Barnes went 2-for-4 with
three RBI and Keith Luuloa knocked in a pair of runs as the
Edmonton Trappers defeated the Nashville Sounds, 9-5. Barnes hit
an RBI double in the first inning and launched a two-run homer
in the fifth. Luuloa, who went 2-for-4 with three runs scored,
broke a 5-5 tie with an RBI single in the seventh inning and
added another run-scoring base hit in the eighth. Scott Morgan
drove in three runs for Edmonton, which has won nine of its last
13 games. Craig Wilson, who tripled in the ninth inning, homered
and Darryl Brinkley laced a two-run single for Nashville, which
fell to 14-14 on the season. Mike Fyhrie (2-1) gave up two hits
and one run in three innings to post the win in relief. Travis
Baptist (2-2) allowed eight runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings to
take the loss.
