DES MOINES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Tavis Driskill tossed seven strong innings as the New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Iowa Cubs, 7-2. Driskill (2-2) allowed just one run and three hits, striking out four. Frank Charles hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run third inning, which put New Orleans on top, 5-1. Glen Baker and Raul Chavez also hit home runs for the Zephyrs, who have won five of their last six games. Micah Bowie (1-5) took the loss, getting roughed up for seven runs and three homers over just 3 2/3 innings of work. Alan Zinter hit his second home run of the season for Iowa, which has lost three of its last five.
