EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Eduardo Perez drove in four runs
to power the Memphis Redbirds past the Edmonton Trappers, 8-2.
Perez, who is tied for the league lead with 32 RBI, lofted a
sacrifice fly in the first inning, ripped a two-run triple in
the fifth and smacked an RBI double in the eighth. Rick Wilkins
homered and knocked in a pair of runs and Chris Richard went
3-for-5 with an RBI single for Memphis, which has won six of its
last eight games. Mark Nussbeck (5-1) allowed one run and five
hits to earn the win. Steve Decker drove home a pair of runs and
Keith Luuloa went 2-for-3 with a triple for Edmonton, which fell
under .500 for the sixth different time this season. Brian
Cooper (1-4) was rocked for six runs and 10 hits over five
innings to take the loss.
