Michael Strahan
Sack master Michael Strahan, center, told the Giants to bag their last offer.
What was Michael Strahan thinking when he turned down the New York Giants' offer of a split bonus of $17 million, while at the same time accusing the team of not really trying to win?

A. "Brett Favre has a $100 million contract ... and he falls down without anybody even touching him!"

B. "Don't blame me. It was coach Fassel who said everybody ought to put all their chips into the pot ... or something like that."

C. "I'll endear myself to the average patient and understanding New York fan, who will be outraged that they are willing to guarantee only $10 million of this contract."

D. "Who knows what a team that chooses to play in New Jersey will do if I apply a little pressure. Let's take a shot, and find out."

E. "I hope nobody asks me how I can rationalize asking the Giants to use up most of their cap space just on me, while still complaining that they don't really want to win."

F. "New York is an expensive place to live. I can't afford any 'hometown discounts.' "
