DES MOINES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Phillip Norton threw eight solid innings and Jose Molina drove home a pair of runs as the Iowa Cubs topped the New Orleans Zephyrs, 5-1. Norton (1-2) allowed an unearned run and five hits, striking out six, for the win. Molina hit a two-run single in the fourth inning to supply Iowa with a 3-1 lead. Augie Ojeda added a solo home run and Julio Zuleta finished with three hits and an RBI for the Cubs. James Betzsold ripped a pair of doubles and scored a run on an error for New Orleans, which had a four-game win streak snapped. Kip Gross (1-3) surrendered three runs -- one earned -- and five hits in six innings for the loss.
