News: 2 days agoLooney will sign a one-year, $3.9 million deal with the Lakers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Spin: The Lakers add some additional depth to their frontcourt. Presumably, Looney will slot in as the third-string center behind Walker Kessler and Sandro Mamukelashvili. With the Pelicans in 2025-26, Looney appeared in 21 regular-season games and averaged 2.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
