With three quarterbacks on the roster Broncos coach Sean Payton was asked after Wednesday's practice if either Jarrett Stidham or Sam Ehlinger was now the formal No. 2 quarterback behind Bo Nix. After initially side-stepping the question, Payton said "(Stidham) would be now.'' Stidham and Ehlinger had split the second-team work for much of training camp and the Broncos, specifically Payton and GM George Paton were adamant about keeping three quarterbacks on the 53-player roster.
