In his first public comments since the Broncos signed S Taylor Rapp last week, coach Sean Payton said after Monday's practice: "Veteran player we liked ... more talent at the position. It wasn't us pounding the table we need a safety, it was hey this player is available, so let's work him out and sign him if possible. I'm glad he's here ... I think it was more (his) availability than necessity.''
