Juan Soto could return to playing the outfield this weekend against the Angels, Carlos Mendoza said.
Soto has been limited to designated hitter since coming off the injured list. Initially it was because the Mets were cautiously bringing him back after he missed nearly three weeks with a calf strain. Lately it's been because forearm tightness surfaced playing catch last Friday, delaying him playing the field.
