Former longtime special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff is receiving the Pro Football Hall of Fame's "Award of Excellence," which honors significant contributors to the game. Westhoff, 78, who spent most of his career with the Jets and Dolphins, will be feted June 24-25 in Canton. "I couldn't be happier or more proud," he told ESPN. "It's pretty damn special." He coached most recently with the Broncos and Saints. Westhoff had a profound impact over his 40-year NFL career.
