Willie Weinbaum
On April 22, 2004, U.S. Army Ranger Pat Tillman, a former Arizona State Sun Devil and Arizona Cardinal football player, was killed by friendly fire during a mission in Afghanistan. Platoon mate Don Lee said in an ESPN interview two decades later: "How do you try and get into somebody's head and figure out how they would want to be remembered? You say 'patriot'? Can we say 'hero'? How about 'just a great f'ing human being'? How about we start there?"
