NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Shane Calder scored a pair of goals as the Baton Rouge Kingfish extended their winning streak to five games by beating the New Orleans Brass, 5-2. Calder scored on a power play 4:39 into the second period for a 3-0 Baton Rouge lead before giving the Kingfish a 4-1 advantage at 9:21 of the third period. Forrest Gore recorded four assists, giving him 12 points in seven games since joining the Kingfish on March 2. Brian Leitza made 31 saves for Baton Rouge to earn the victory. Sylvain Deschatelets and Craig Foddrill scored for New Orleans, which saw its five-game unbeaten streak come to an end (4-0-1). Ron Vogel surrendered five goals on 26 shots to suffer the loss for the Brass.
