ROANOKE, Virginia (Ticker) -- Daniel Berthiaume turned aside 24 shots as the Roanoke Express defeated the Richmond Renegades, 3-1, extending their league-high home winning streak to 11 games. Berthiaume earned his third straight win and improved to 5-1-0 in his last six overall by stopping 17 of 18 shots over the final two periods to help preserve a 2-0 Roanoke lead after one period. Troy Lake, Anthony Belza and Doug Sheppard all scored for the Express, who won their fourth straight game overall. Brian McCullough scored early in the second period to close the gap to 2-1 for Richmond, which lost its fifth straight contest. Mike Peron extended his consecutive assist streak to seven games with an assist on McCullough's goal. Rastislav Stana allowed three goals on 38 shots to suffer the loss for the Renegades.
