GREENVILLE, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Doug Kirton scored a power-play goal as the Greenville Grrrowl defeated the Greensboro Generals, 3-2. Kirton netted his 17th marker of the season 6:47 into the third stanza to give Greenville a 3-1 lead with what proved to be the game-winner. Vratislav Cech and Brad Federenko also tallied and Tyrone Garner stopped 33 shots to pick up the win, the third in a row for the Grrrowl. Martin Mesa finished with a goal and an assist for Greensboro, which has lost five of its last six (1-5-0). Eric Heffler suffered the loss allowing three goals on 37 shots.
