Spin: Towns was solid, if unspectacular, as New York fell to 0-3 in preseason play. The standout center has played in each of the first three contests but will take a seat for the second half of the back-to-back set Tuesday at Toronto. Towns' next chance to suit up will come Thursday at home against the Raptors.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Towns modified his game last season to fit in with his strong Knicks teammates, turning in his lowest scoring average (20.1 PPG) since his rookie season with his fewest 3-pointers (1.5 3PG) since 2018-19. On the positive side, Towns still has averaged more than 20 PPG in 10 straight seasons and has posted 12.4 RPG in his two seasons with the Knicks, his best marks since 2018-19. Towns also emerged in the playoffs as a strong passer that can generate big assist numbers, should the team decide to run more offense through him.
