News: 2 days agoSabonis (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Spin: This will be Sabonis' second straight missed preseason game, and the Kings have not yet listed an injury for him. His next chance to play will come Tuesday against Portland. Maxime Raynaud and Precious Achiuwa should see a boost with Sabonis unavailable.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sabonis' season was cut short by a knee injury that limited him to only 19 games, by far the fewest in a campaign in his career. In his three previous full seasons with the Kings, Sabonis had averaged a rounded 19 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists in 77 games per year. The Kings have signaled a rebuild, letting veterans like DeMar DeRozan walk, and there are rumors that Sabonis could be on the move as well, but as long as he remains in Sacramento expect Sabonis to bounce back to his typical usage levels this season.
