News: 1 day agoBrunson totaled 20 points (7-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven assists and three rebounds across 29 minutes in Thursday's 122-120 preseason victory over Toronto.
Spin: Brunson helped New York regain control during the third quarter, scoring seven points and distributing two assists during a decisive run. He finished as the Knicks' leading scorer while sharing playmaking duties with Karl-Anthony Towns, who dished out nine assists. Brunson looks to be in midseason form ahead of Opening Night.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Brunson reached the pinnacle of the NBA last season by leading the Knicks to their first championship in more than 50 years. He also turned in another strong fantasy campaign, almost exactly in line with his four year averages of a rounded 26 PPG, 3 RPG and 7 APG. The Knicks have one of the more stable lineups in the league, returning the same starting crew with similar roles. Brunson is still squarely in his prime at 30 years old, and his expectations this season should remain right in line with what he has done since arriving in New York.
