News: 17 hours agoBrunson registered 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 15 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason loss to the 76ers.
Spin: Brunson reached a double-digit scoring total despite playing only during the first half, but most importantly, he was able to handle the workload with no issues after undergoing left wrist surgery in the offseason. The Knicks have little reason to push their star point guard during exhibition play, and it shouldn't be surprising if Brunson continues to see limited playing time throughout the preseason.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Brunson reached the pinnacle of the NBA last season by leading the Knicks to their first championship in more than 50 years. He also turned in another strong fantasy campaign, almost exactly in line with his four year averages of a rounded 26 PPG, 3 RPG and 7 APG. The Knicks have one of the more stable lineups in the league, returning the same starting crew with similar roles. Brunson is still squarely in his prime at 30 years old, and his expectations this season should remain right in line with what he has done since arriving in New York.
