News: 9 hours agoJerome tallied 16 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists and one rebound over 14 minutes during Friday's 104-100 preseason win over the Bulls.
Spin: All of Jerome's production came in the first half, as the veteran point guard sat out for last two quarters. He was limited to just 15 regular-season games last year due to ankle and calf injuries, but now that Ja Morant is in Portland, Jerome figures to start alongside Cedric Coward in Memphis' backcourt, with Scotty Pippen and Cam Spencer providing depth.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jerome was limited by injury to only 15 games last season, but what he accomplished in those games was startling. He averaged a rounded 20 points, 6 assists and 3 3-pointers in only 23 minutes per game. Jerome should be in for a larger role for the Grizzlies this season after Ja Morant was traded away. If he can approach his per-minute production with more minutes, he has top-50 fantasy upside.
