News: 19 hours agoJackson is still developing chemistry with Utah's core after having limited time alongside his teammates following his arrival last season, according to Jazz reporter Eric Spyropoulos.

Spin: Head coach Will Hardy said Tuesday that Jackson's familiarity with the roster doesn't change the fact that he's still early in the learning process after appearing in only three games for Utah last season. Hardy was encouraged by Jackson's communication during the Jazz's opening practice and highlighted the big man's versatility as something that gives the team several options. Developing chemistry with Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George should be Jackson's point of emphasis throughout training camp.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jackson was traded to the Jazz midseason in 2025-26, and only played three games with them before being shut down with a knee injury. He could get more minutes at center with the trade of Walker Kessler to the Lakers, though Jusuf Nurkic is still on roster. But Jackson is young and has the dynamic scoring ability to fit in with the other young Jazz. If he can channel the form that made him the 2022-23 Defensive Player of the Year, Jackson could be a strong blend of shot-blocking and 3-point shooting that makes him more valuable in category leagues than points leagues.
