News: 18 hours agoCunningham (rest) didn't play in Saturday's 114-108 preseason loss to the Wizards in overtime.
Spin: The star guard wasn't announced in the starting lineup for this contest, with Daniss Jenkins taking his place, but Cunningham didn't even step on the hardwood. This was likely a precautionary move to manage his workload before the start of the regular season, so fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much about his absence. His next chance to play in the preseason will come Wednesday against the Timberwolves.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cunningham set career highs in assists (9.9 APG), steals (1.4 SPG) and blocks (0.8 BPG) last season while turning in the sixth-best fantasy scoring average in the league. Entering his sixth season, Cunningham looks to take another step forward as the team leader for the Pistons and a budding MVP candidate.
