News: 2 hours agoHolmgren (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason game against the Pacers, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Spin: Holmgren has yet to play in the preseason due to a quad contusion and will remain on the inactive list in the second leg of this back-to-back set. The big man's final chance to suit up before the regular season will come Thursday versus Houston.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Holmgren set incremental career highs in points and rebounds last season, but he has the capacity for more improvement in Year 4. The Thunder could use more offense from Holmgren, and if he is more assertive he has the skill and opportunity to become a 20 and 10 player as soon as this season. Add that to his defense and long-range shooting, and Holmgren has top-25 upside in category leagues.
