News: 6 hours agoSarr said he took part in the Wizards' 5-on-5 full-contact work during Monday's practice, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Sarr is ramping up after undergoing right foot surgery in June. He appears likely to be ready for the start of the regular season, though it's unclear how much action he'll see during the preseason. Across 48 regular-season appearances in 2025-26, he averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 blocks and 0.8 steals in 27.2 minutes per showing.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sarr was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft, and he has quietly been developing into a starting caliber center worthy of such lofty draft heritage. In roughly the same 27 minutes he averaged as a rookie, Sarr upped almost all of his fantasy stats as a sophomore. He is a strong shot-blocker and defender that appears to have 20-10 point-rebound upside in the near future. His ceiling may be capped this season with the additions Anthony Davis and Deandre Ayton, but if he gets starter minutes Sarr has top-50 fantasy potential, particularly in category leagues.
