- Orlovsky: Seahawks have to sign AB to keep Russell Wilson happy
News: 2 days agoBrown practiced Monday after receiving a maintenance day off Sunday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Not only was the veteran wideout back on the practice field, Jenna Laine of ESPN also reports Brown hauled in a deep pass from Tom Brady and taunted undrafted free agent cornerback Javon Hagan as he sauntered into the end zone. Brown thus far has looked good during his days participating in team drills, but that constitutes fewer instances than some of his position mates due to his briefly delayed start to camp as a result of his offseason knee procedure.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Brown re-signed with the Buccaneers after his tumultuous year-plus out of the league came to end when he joined the team in Week 9 last season. Including a trio of playoff showings, Brown appeared in 10 games along with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans and averaged 5.9 targets (16% share). His fantasy point total during the span extrapolated over 16 games (177.6) would've ranked 38th during the regular season. A WR-high 24% of his targets were screens, which limited Brown's yardage, but he didn't drop a ball and was great after the catch (5.8 RAC). The 33-year-old is third in line for targets behind Evans and Godwin in a high-scoring offense, so he's certainly on the flex radar in 12-team leagues.
