News: 4 days agoTannehill completed 27 of his 40 passes for 347 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Seahawks.

Spin: Tannehill returned to his more efficient ways after a disappointing Week 1 effort, recording 8.7 yards per attempt. He spread the ball around, with four different receivers getting five targets or more. However, Tannehill showed particular rapport with Julio Jones, and the duo connected for five passes that went for 15 yards or more. Tannehill's production still lagged due to Derrick Henry finding the end zone three times in the second half to key a comeback win, though this performance was a step in the right direction.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tannehill took over as the Titans' starting QB in Week 7 of the 2019 season. He was fantasy's No. 3 QB from that point forward and followed that up by finishing seventh as the full-time starter in 2020. He's been nothing short of elite during the two campaigns, totaling 66 TDs and 13 INTs while completing 67% of his passes and averaging a league-best 8.6 YPA. The addition of Julio Jones helps offset the departures of Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith and Adam Humphries, but losing OC Arthur Smith is notable as well. This still figures to be a very run-heavy offense (Tannehill finished 18th in pass attempts last season), which limits the ceiling a bit. Even at 33 years old, Tannehill still adds value with his legs, which along with his strong efficiency, keeps him in the QB1 conversation.
