News: 11 hours agoBeckham (shoulder) logged a limited practice Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Spin: Beckham continues to manage a shoulder sprain, but it's something he played through in Week 7 (after not practicing) and we expect that to be the case once again this Sunday against the Steelers, barring any setbacks. Meanwhile, fellow wideouts Jarvis Landry (knee) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) did not practice Wednesday, thus clouding their Week 8 status.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Beckham returns for his third season with the Browns following an underwhelming 2019 (74-1,035-4 receiving line and one top-10 fantasy week) and injury-plagued 2020 (23-319-3 line and one weekly finish better than 19th in six tries). That's decent production for most players but not for a player who averaged a 96-1,374-12 line during his first three seasons in the league (2014-16). Durability remains a major concern, as Beckham is averaging 9.8 games played over the past four seasons. Beckham turns 29 this year, and his target ceiling is capped a bit in Cleveland's run-first (albeit efficient) offense. Beckham should be valued as a WR3 but has the talent to leap back into the WR2 mix.
