News: 18 hours agoRavens head coach Jesse Minter said after Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Bills that Jackson will undergo surgery to address his right thumb injury and will be placed on injured reserve, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Spin: According to Wacker, Minter added that Jackson's injury could be season-ending, with a more definitive timeline likely to be provided once surgery is completed. The injury is another tough break for Jackson, who had missed the previous three contests due to a left high-ankle sprain before departing after playing just one snap in Sunday's loss. With backup Tyler Huntley (toe) also exiting the loss to the Bills with an injury, Baltimore's quarterback situation is in flux heading into a Thursday night matchup with the Jaguars. Third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano finished up Sunday's contest, though he admitted afterward that he was playing in some pain after taking a hit to his knee during the game.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jackson, 29, is eyeing a rebound after a disappointing, injury-plagued 2025. Jackson started the season strong (26-plus fantasy points in each of his first three games) but left Week 4 because of an injury and wasn't the same once he returned in Week 9 (13.5 fantasy points per game in his final nine outings). Jackson's overall rushing was down, but that was likely a product of him not being fully healthy, especially considering his scramble rate (8.4%) remained high. Jackson has a new coach (Jesse Minter) and playcaller (Declan Doyle), but his supporting cast is otherwise similar to a 2024 campaign in which he paced all quarterbacks in fantasy points. Assuming he's back to full health, Jackson is a strong bet for a rebound and should be valued as a high-end QB1.
