Spin: Doubs won multiple jump balls and hauled in three high-point touchdowns in the red zone during team drills. The veteran wide receiver has demonstrated strong rapport with quarterback Drake Maye during training camp, and head coach Mike Vrabel said Saturday that there have been "a lot of positive things trending in the right direction" for Doubs, per Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com. Doubs and most of the other Patriots starters didn't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts, though they could see some action in their next exhibition contest, which will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, against the Eagles.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Doubs signed with the Patriots during free agency after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Packers. He was a serviceable player during his Green Bay tenure, but he never finished a season in the top 30 among receivers in targets, catches, yards or fantasy points. Consistently mediocre, Doubs has averaged either 10.2 or 10.3 fantasy PPG each of the last three seasons. In New England, Doubs is likely to settle in as Drake Maye's No. 2 target behind A.J. Brown, though his target ceiling figures to be capped with the likes of Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins and Kyle Williams also in the mix at receiver. Doubs, 26, is a fine addition to your bench, but his upside is limited.
