News: 21 hours agoTaylor caught two of three targets for minus-2 yards in the Jets' 23-10 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Spin: Taylor got the start at tight end and played 44 of 67 offensive snaps. He ran 16 routes on Geno Smith's 26 dropbacks but had a laughable zero-yard average depth of target, giving him no chance to produce much in the box score. Taylor has next to no fantasy value in the Jets' low-volume passing offense that will feature Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall first and foremost.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Taylor was a busy man during his rookie season, playing 81% of the Jets' offensive snaps and handling a healthy 19% of the targets in 13 games. The 2025 second-round pick struggled badly with efficiency while dealing with the team's quarterback woes, ranking near the basement in catch rate (65%) and yards per target (5.4). Taylor also dropped five passes (fourth most), scored only one touchdown and finished 30th in fantasy PPG. Taylor would've been a potential 2026 breakout candidate, but that was quickly derailed when the Jets selected Kenyon Sadiq in the first round of April's draft. Taylor will play a role in the New York offense, but he won't see nearly enough targets to allow any sort of fantasy relevance.
