Bengals RB Joe Mixon was a full participant on Friday's practice and is expected to have no issues ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Mixon was limited on Thursday with a calf injury. The running back is 75 yards shy of his second 1,000-yard season. Bengals starting right guard John Miller will be out with a concussion. As expected, A.J. Green is also officially out with his ankle injury.

Sunday's game against the Dolphins will mark a return for Bengals coach Zac Taylor and several others on the coaching staff. Taylor was an assistant in Miami from 2012-15. Taylor on going back: "You talk about equipment mangers, the strength staff — they had a bunch of really good people in Miami that, in the four years I was there, I really felt a connection to. I'm sure all the guys on our staff that worked there do as well." Six Bengals staffers are former Miami assistants.

Bengals running back Joe Mixon said he was surprised when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady offered praise following Mixon's 136-yard performance in the loss to New England. "He was like, ‘Great player, hell of a runner,'" Mixon said after the game. "I was like, ‘Dang, that's Tom Brady that said that.' I appreciate that. I was like, ‘Good job, keep being you, keep being great.'"
