News: 1 day agoEndries caught a 17-yard touchdown reception from Joe Flacco in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions. He's competing with veteran Tanner Hudson for a roster spot, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.
Spin: This is a roster battle for the fourth tight-end spot, so the stakes are pretty low for fantasy purposes. Endries gets points for athleticism and pass-catching ability, whereas Hudson is more of a reliable veteran that knows the system well. At any rate, either tight end would fall behind Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Erick All on the Bengals' depth chart.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Endries was selected by the Bengals in the seventh round of April's draft. Endries is a pass-catching/move tight end who caught 33-plus passes during each of his three collegiate seasons. He peaked with a 56-623-3 receiving line with Fernando Mendoza under center at Cal in 2024 prior to seeing less work in an in-line role at Texas last season. Endries will compete for the No. 3 gig in Cincinnati and isn't close to fantasy relevance.
