Forfar eased their Ladbrokes League One relegation fears with a 2-0 win over promotion-chasing Peterhead.
Danny Denholm gave Forfar the lead three minutes into the second half when he netted from close range.
The home side doubled their lead six minutes later when Steven Craig added a second goal.
Forfar sit ninth, in the relegation play-off place, while Peterhead sit second, four points ahead of Ayr who lost to Cowdenbeath but now 16 adrift of leaders Dunfermline.
