Northwestern and football coach David Braun have agreed to a new contract, as he’s been extended through the 2031 season, per ESPN sources. Braun had been on his initial deal, which came after he earned the job as the interim coach in 2023. His prior deal had been through 2028, so this adds three years and gives Braun a significant salary increase.
Braun is 20-19 in his fourth year as head coach, the best start of any coach in school history. He earned Big Ten coach of the year in 2023.
