Sources: New Mexico has agreed to a new five-year contract for football coach Jason Eck, who won nine games in his first year there. The deal includes an increase in average salary to $1.75 million from $1.25 million. He’s now under contract through the 2030 season.
With New Mexico 9-3, they’ll have a chance for the school’s first 10-win season since 1982. New Mexico marked wins at UCLA, at UNLV and over San Diego State. They closed the year on a six-game winning streak.
