RECAP
WINTER HAVEN, Florida (Ticker) -- Karim Garcia's two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Cleveland Indians a 6-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves in a Grapefruit League game of split squads. Garcia's first spring homer came off Jake Robbins, who also gave up Jason Hardtke's tying two-run single in the bottom of the ninth. Garcia's blast made a winner of Roy Smith, who pitched two scoreless innings. Smith is not expected to make the 25-man roster but is making it tough for Indians manager Charlie Manuel as he has surrendered just one hit in seven scoreless spring innings. Indians starter Chuck Finley allowed one run and four hits in four innings, striking out two without a walk. Horacio Ramirez started for the Braves and gave up one run and two hits in 2 2/3 innings. Russell Branyan hit his fourth spring homer for Cleveland. Wes Helms continued his torrid spring for Atlanta, collecting three hits, including a double and his third homer, and two RBI.
