DUNEDIN, Florida (Ticker) -- Tim Drew tossed five scoreless innings as a split squad of Cleveland Indians posted a 2-1 Grapefruit League win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Drew, the brother of St. Louis Cardinals outfielder J.D. Drew, allowed five hits with one strikeout. Last year, the 22-year-old Drew went 1-0 in three starts for the Indians.

Jim Thome gave Cleveland a 1-0 lead in the second inning with his second homer of the spring. Omar Vizquel extended the lead to 2-0 in the third with a one-out RBI double following a triple by Kenny Lofton.

Paul Shuey and Ricardo Rincon each pitched one scoreless inning and Ariel Prieto went the final two innings for the save, despite giving up a pinch-hit RBI double to Chris Latham in the ninth.

Chris Michalak took the loss after giving up two runs and four hits in four innings.
