BOX SCORE
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Chan Ho Park struck out seven in five innings Wednesday to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Houston Astros 8-5. Park allowed four runs _ two earned _ and six hits, throwing three wild pitches. He won for the first time in four spring starts. Scott Elarton, Houston's likely opening-day starter, was hit hard again, giving up six runs and seven hits in four innings. He had a scare when Phil Hiatt's hard liner in the third deflected off his glove then bounced off his head. The ball followed to first baseman Jeff Bagwell. Elarton was not hurt and stayed in the game. In his previous start, Elarton gave up six runs on eight hits in three innings against Pittsburgh. Just like Wednesday, all of those runs came in one inning. Mark Grudzielanek, one of a handful of Los Angeles regulars among the 23 players on the trip, drove in three runs. He had a two-run single in the second and an RBI single in the fourth. Tom Goodwin had an RBI double in that five-run second for the Dodgers. Hiatt had an RBI single and Park had a run-scoring grounder, Bagwell and Moises Alou both had RBI singles in the first. Richard Hidalgo had a two-run double in the third and Chris Truby had an RBI single in the fifth. Notes: Astros closer Billy Wagner, who mildly strained a groin Sunday, threw in the bullpen. He is to pitch in a game again Friday. ... Gary Sheffield didn't make the trip.
