ESPN Fantasy Projection: Looking to fortify the top of their order, the Phillies acquired Segura from the Mariners last offseason. Despite a short stint on the IL in April, Segura's return to the senior circuit went swimmingly, as he was slashing .360/.406/.551 through May 4. However, from that point on, Segura registered a .265/.307/.396 line, finishing with a .280 average, his first season below .300 since 2015. The good news is Segura's underlying metrics were nearly identical to recent seasons, specifically contact rate, average exit velocity and launch angle. A rebound is likely, but there still are a couple of concerns. After six straight seasons with at least 20 steals, Segura swiped only 10 bags. Plus, with Didi Gregorius in town, Segura could hit in the lower half of the order. Segura's slash line should rebound, albeit with less production than a couple of years ago, especially in the stolen-base category.
