ESPN Fantasy Projection: Happ failed to earn a roster spot out of spring training and got off to a slow start at Triple-A Iowa, hitting .209 with 25 strikeouts through his first 18 games of 2019. He finally got going and earned a call-up to Chicago shortly after the All-Star break. Happ appeared in 58 games down the stretch, but only 39 of those were starts, split between the outfield, second base, third and first. He's OF-only in leagues with a 20-game minimum. In his limited run with the big club (156 PA), Happ slugged .564 with a much-improved 25.0 K%. He also graded out better on defense. It was a good showing after a disappointing 2018, but it will assure him nothing in 2020. Happ will need to fare well in spring training and impress new manager David Ross to secure a spot in the Opening Day lineup.
