News: 1 day agoBane (toe) is a full go for training camp, Drew Hill of the Daily Memphian reports.
Spin: Bane underwent surgery on his right big toe back in May, but his status for camp was never in any real danger. With Ja Morant serving a 25-game suspension, Bane will have increased playmaking opportunities to open the season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Bane continued his rapid development last season, his third in the NBA, setting new career bests with averages of 21.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 4.4 APG. Bane was the top option on offense for large stretches of the season when Ja Morant was out, and that should be good preparation for this season when Morant will miss the ffirst 25 games due to suspension. Bane averaged 24.7 PPG in his first 12 games last season before a toe injury made him miss 17 games and slowed him the rest of the way, but he had a surgical procedure after the season and is expected to be fully healthy to start this season.
