News: 19 hours agoYoung (quadriceps) has been cleared for training camp and was spotted participating in on-court work during Wednesday's practice, according to Wizards reporter Greg Finberg.
Spin: Young's 2025-26 campaign ended with him sidelined by a right quadriceps contusion and lower-back irritation after appearing in just five games for Washington following his midseason arrival. His participation during the second day of camp indicates he's moved past those issues and enters the preseason healthy.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: After spending his first seven seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, Young was traded to the Wizards in January. Young battled injury before and after the trade and was limited to only 15 total games played, the fewest in his career. This season, Young will be the leader of a new-look Wizards squad featuring fellow All-Star Anthony Davis and rookie No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa. Young will be surrounded by finishers and potential pick-and-roll partners, which bodes well for a player in Young who increased his assists per game in each of his first seven seasons in the league.
