News: 4 days agoAcuff is projected to open the season as Sacramento's starting point guard, according to Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140.

Spin: Nunes views Acuff, Zach LaVine, Keegan Murray, De'Andre Hunter and Domantas Sabonis as the Kings' most likely starting five. If Acuff secures the starting job, the rookie should have an opportunity to handle significant minutes and playmaking responsibilities from the outset. Efficiency could be an issue early on given the learning curve at the position.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Acuff was the best offense-creator in this year's NBA draft class, capable of generating volume points for himself as well as his teammates. Acuff has a slick handle and parking lot shooting range, and his first step allows him to get into the lane to draw fouls. Much of his effectiveness this season will be predicated on his ability to handle the physicality at the NBA level, to be able to still finish in the paint or set up teammates without turning the ball over. The Kings are in full rebuild, so he should have plenty of latitude to make mistakes as a rookie. Acuff should get minutes and usage early, which could make him fantasy viable out the gate.
