News: 16 hours agoDybantsa recorded 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block across 25 minutes in Monday's 131-122 preseason loss to the Nets.

Spin: Dybantsa overcame a slow start to deliver an encouraging performance, becoming more involved offensively during the second half. His shooting efficiency remained inconsistent, but he contributed in several categories while grabbing four offensive rebounds. The rookie is slated to open the 2026-27 season as the Wizards' starting small forward and should see consistent playing time right out of the gate in his first year in the league.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Dybantsa was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft and enters the league as a scorer. He led the NCAA in scoring average as a freshman at BYU and was one of the leading scorers at the Las Vegas Summer League as well. Dybantsa has the size of a big forward but the ball-handling ability of a wing. He is great at getting to his spot and scoring from the mid-range, and he is also adept at drawing fouls and getting to the line. Dybantsa has a good chance to lead all rookies in scoring and establish himself as a fantasy starter immediately.
