Fantasy Men's Basketball
News: 8 hours agoDavis (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Kings, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Though it hasn't been disclosed exactly why Davis won't play, it's likely just a rest day for Davis considering LeBron James (rest) is also getting the night off. After logging 15 points and five rebounds against the Warriors in the Lakers' preseason opener, he'll have another opportunity to face Golden State on Friday.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Davis signed a super-max extension to stay with the Lakers this offseason, ensuring he remains a franchise playerthrought the LeBron James era and beyond. Davis started full-time at center last season and turned in the best statistical campaign of his tenure with the Lakers on a per-game basis. Davis set new career marks with 12.5 RPG and 56.3 FG% in addition to averaging 25.9 PPG, 2.0 BPG and 1.1 SPG. The issue with Davis is always availability; he has averaged only 48.5 games played during his tenure with the Lakers.
