MOBILE, Ala. -- In preparation for the 2003 Senior Bowl, ESPN.com sat down with Miami defensive lineman Andrew Williams to get his take on everything from his favorite football moment to his musical tastes as he prepares for a professional football career.
Andrew Williams: Winning the national championship against the Rose Bowl against Nebraska last year. Getting to start and going 12-0 last year was the best. 2. What three CDs are getting the most play in your stereo? Williams: It's a variety right now, but it mainly includes Jay-Z and Nas. 3. What do you think will be the biggest difference between college and pro football? Williams: Pro ball is going to be a job. The pros are filled with great athletes, who are veterans and have been around the game a long time. In college, everybody is the same -- learning. Gaining experience will be the biggest adjustment. 4. What's the best and worst part of gameday? Williams: The worst part is the waiting. I get so excited waiting to go at it. The first kickoff is the best. Then you get to take the field and lay it all out there. 5. Do you think there should be a Division I-A playoff? Williams: No. I like it the way it is. 6. If you could change one thing about college football, what would it be? Williams: After the Fiesta Bowl, I'd have to say putting in instant replay. 7. If you had to play on the other side of the ball, what position would you want to play? Williams: I've got some good hands, so I'd have to say tight end or receiver. 8. If you couldn't play football, what sport would you pursue? Williams: Basketball or baseball. I started playing baseball at an early age and played basketball in high school. 9. What player at the Senior Bowl are you looking forward to being on the field with? Williams: All these guys are great. 10. What's your first big purchase after signing a pro contract? Williams: 'll probably look for a house first, then a car. For more information on the 2003 Senior Bowl, go to the official site. |
