News: 3 days agoTaylor was absent from Saturday's practice due to a personal issue, but he's expected to be ready to play in Monday's Week 3 matchup against Dallas, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Spin: Taylor has yet to take a snap this season, but he's the clear-cut backup to starter Daniel Jones. With the Giants off to a 2-0 start, Jones' job security is relatively secure, so it would take an injury or a drastic dropoff in Jones' play for Taylor to gain fantasy relevance.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Taylor signed with the Giants and will back up Daniel Jones. Taylor is now 33 years old and hasn't appeared in more than eight games in a season since 2017. He played four full games in Houston last season, none of which resulted in a top-10 fantasy finish. Taylor can still add some value with his legs (151 yards, 3 TDs last season), but he's an unproductive passer. Jones' durability woes add to Taylor's insurance appeal in superflex formats, but he has a very low ceiling.
